
Nancy Saxton Lopez

Nancy Saxton-Lopez, LCSW, DCSW is a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, speaker, trainer, coach and management consultant. She has had over 30 years of experience in behavioral health; working in hospital systems, the community health arena and providing employee assistance programs. Nancy has also maintained a private psychotherapy practice for 30 years with expertise in bereavement (specifically companion animal loss), adolescent issues, depression, anxiety, crisis intervention, eating disorders and relationships.
Nancy is currently a Senior Partner with Clinical Services Management, P.C. (CSM), a behavioral health consulting and Management Corporation serving healthcare, residential and governmental agencies. She has developed crisis intervention services and programs for several leading hospital systems in Northern New Jersey. She also was instrumental in developing a trauma and bereavement response program in the Emergency Department at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Nancy has led a Companion Animal Loss Support Group at St. Hubert’s Giralda, a humane welfare and education organization in Madison New Jersey for 30 years. In 2013 she published “The Pet Loss Companion: Healing Advice from Family Therapists who Lead Pet Loss Groups”, with her colleague Ken Dolan-Delvecchio.
Nancy is a graduate of New York University School of Social Work and has a Certificate in Family Therapy from the New Jersey Center for Family Studies. She is currently enrolled in the University of Tennessee’s Certificate for Veterinary Social Work program.
