About this speaker

Maureen is an associate professor of social work with a focus on inter-professional relationships in organizational learning and change strategies, and non-profit service development and evaluation. She is a pioneer in the development, implementation, and evaluation of AAIs. Maureen has 30 years’ experience designing of goal-directed human-animal activities that result in measurable client change and developing and delivering staff training to support these programs. Her research interests include the influence of macro-level strategies to the success of innovation implementation and diffusion; the influence of climate change on rural sustainable development; and organizational factors influencing the place and consequence of human-animal relationships. Maureen is a TTouch practitioner and has incorporated TTouch with a variety of animals and in a range of settings.
