I have been interning at two BluePearl Pet Hospitals for about a year. I run a bi-weekly pet loss support group and it has been a great success. In addition, I give a training every month during their staff meetings on topics such as compassion fatigue, burnout, gratitude, client communication. Pre-Covid I started “wellness hours” in which I was available a few hours each week for any staff members or clients to utilize my services for a wellness break, euthanasia discussions, any conflict they were experiencing, etc. I hope to continue these “wellness hours” soon! In my free time I volunteer with my therapy dog, Lucy.
