About this speaker
I am a small animal Veterinarian that practices in Wilmington, NC. When I graduated in 2011, I pursued an equine-exclusive internship and then equine only practice for 3 years. I realized that my quality of life had deteriorated and make the transition to small animal. It was with this career change I realized that Veterinary Medicine is suffering. I pursued the Veterinary Human Support Certificate as a way to give back to those suffering in Vet Med and find a way to live a healthier way of life in and out of the office. I live with my husband, David, two cats, and two dogs + a foster (maybe failure). I enjoy anything outdoors, exercising and finding joy in every day.
